Model 3 - Electric Power Liftgate for the Trunk

This power liftgate makes your Model 3 a lot more convenient and luxurious.

You can open the trunk with a normal click of the button, but it can also be done from the app, the screen, the Tesla key fob, or with the optional foot sensor.

Closing is just as easy, with a click on the new illuminated button on the inside of the tailgate, with the app, the Tesla key fob, or with the optional foot sensor. It can also be done with an optional button that can be mounted under the dashboard. However, most people don't want this to keep the dashboard "clean".

This set has a "soft close" mechanism. This means that the hook that holds the tailgate is replaced by a hook that moves up and down electrically. When the tailgate is almost closed, the hook grabs the tailgate and pulls it closed gently the last bit. So the tailgate does not come down with a heavy bang.

So you no longer suffer from dirty fingers on the tailgate, or damage to the bumper on the underside from slamming it shut. Also, the sound of the trunk opening and closing sounds a lot less "cheap"

The maximum opening height can be set. This can be useful if you have a low garage.

The set consists of the motorized struts, a control unit, a beeper that gives a sound signal, push buttons, and all the necessary wiring for connection. The instructions and a drill for the push buttons are also included.

The only thing that needs to be changed on the car is drilling a hole in the trim of the tailgate for the push button. Everything else can be returned to its original state.
